Well here’s the solution, a fat blunt. Courtesy of the fine people at Dutch Master and my friend OG Kush.

Check out the full article for the guide.

- First, lick it, get that dutch disgusting with spit.

- Next, unwrap your dutch: the easiest way is to trace the edges of the leaf up the blunt and find where it all twists together by the mouthpiece and unravel starting from there.

- Hand the wrap to yo’ girl, she needs to keep it moist while you finish gutting and rolling this blunt.

- Then, you split that shit. I would advise first time blunt rollers to just make a cut down the middle of the blunt with a knife or a razor blade, but eventually everyone must learn to split the blunt. Just use your two thumbs (with your index fingers behind) and apply pressure with both of your thumbs all the way down the blunt, you’ll here a cracking sound if you did it right.

- Don’t split it all the way though, when you get the greyish “cancer paper” just stop.

- Now, peal away the wrap, leaving the gray mouthpiece and the guts in tact. Throw that shit away and keep the wrap.

- Put AT LEAST a half a gram in, anything less than that is just pitiful, blunts don’t need to be huge, its just not worth it when you mainly smoking tobacco leaf. I usually put about a gram or two in. The largest I’ve ever smoked was probably around a quarter ounce.

- From this point on, its all about the tuck and roll. First roll the leaf back and forth to gather the weed in a cylindrical shape. Use your thumbs and index fingers. You want to get the end of the wrap closest to you nice and tucked into the bud before you roll up the rest of the blunt. Once I get it tucked I sometimes finish rolling on a table using all my fingers, like one would role an actual cigar.

- Then place your blunt on top of the unraveled leaf and wrap up tightly.

- Then, roast it up. Make sure its nice and dry and crispy, but not too crispy. If you hold the lighter to close for too long then it will burn (no shit!).

You are now ready to blaze that shit UP!

Be sure to check out our guides page for more!

Here is an easy and tasty recipe for some dank firecrackers:

Materials:

Some Dank
Organic Peanut Butter/Almond Butter
Large Crackers
Oven or Toaster Oven
Aluminum Foil

Directions:

- Turn about a bowl to a gram (the danker the weed the better) into powder. You can use a knife or herb grinder for this, its not too difficult.

- Mix the weed with about a spoon full of organic peanut butter, or organic almond butter.

- When choosing the amount of weed and PB keep the size of your crackers in mind, you don’t want the PB to be getting all over your foil.

- Put the weedy peanut butter in-between two crackers, the bigger the crackers the better.

- Wrap in tin foil and preheat your oven to 320 degrees.

- Place firecrackers on a cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.

- Let ‘em cool off, don’t worry if they’re a little burnt, and get high as fuck! You should only need one or two (depending on how much weed you used, and your weight).

- You can also follow these steps using a toaster oven.

Enjoy!

Why Should I Vape? :

Combustion aka burning your material is the most common known method to consume tobacco and herbs. During the combustion process the substance is burned releasing the active ingredients. Vaporizing has a similar effect as smoking but the substance is not burned it is vaporized.

Burning of the plant material causes the release of unwanted by-products like carbon monoxide, tar, ash, and other substances which are harmful to the human body and can later cause bigger issues. The unwanted substances have been found to cause cancer in most cases. Smoking is like breathing hot air which is unhealthy to our lungs and throat. You may be inhaling medicine but the method using high temperature may be causing more damage. Second hand smoking is also another factor to look at since the harmful smoke has a chance of causing cancer to other people that could be in the room.

According to many studies, twenty five to fifty percent of the substance is destroyed during the combustion process. It also decreases the effectivness of the active ingredients the plants may have. It is evident that smoking is an unhealthy method which may further cause damage to the body. Smoking also wastes resources by burning the plant material and in the process loses vital active ingredients.

Vaporizing on the other hand gently heats the plant material up to a certain degree where combustion doesn’t occur. This is achieved with digital accuracy and the effect is the release of a warm vapor with all the active ingredients. Many studies support that none of the active ingredients are lost during vaporization since fire or flame is not used to obtain the active ingredients. The process results to more of the beneficial natural substance and not just smoke.

The carcinogenic materials are also eliminated in the process since the vapor contains a very insignificant amount of tar. The vapor is also a lot cooler than smoke. This proves to be healthier than smoke which subjects the throat and lungs to irritation.

The vapor produced is slightly visible when exhaled and the vapor is almost odorless compared to smoke. The natural taste of the substance, for example of tobacco, is therefore noticeably retained.

Vaporizing produces more stimulation compared to smoking. Moreover, the unhealthy by products of smoking are eliminated with vaporizing. A number of studies have shown that delivery of the active ingredient is more efficient in vaporizing. Aside from the elimination of the undesired compounds, vaporizing delivers the active ingredient to the blood stream faster. The alleviating effect of the substance is fast and control of the dosage is very precise given the technology used in today’s vaporizers. You get more with vaporizing for using less, and people now consider vaporizing as the way to go, you should too.

Click read more for the full guide.

II. Time to Choose a Vaporizer:

There are many different types of Vaporizers. A few factors that determine the right kind for you include: price, reliability (how long are you planning on using it), and size.

Whip-based vapes
Balloon based vapes
Direct draw based vapes
Combination vapes (bags and whips)
Portable vapes
Lightbulb vapes

-Digital Vaporizers (Whatever form of draw they may be)

-Whip Based

- Non-Digital (Method of draw may vary)

-Volcano Vaporizers (A brand name, but so popular people put them in a category of their own). It is a balloon (bag) based vaporizer.

-Lightbulb Vaporizer (For the creative one)

III. How to Operate Your Vaporizer

Right Consistency of Herbs

This most important step is often overlooked by many. Before using, herbs need to be ground to a proper consistency. You can use a herb grinder for a perfect job. In the absence of a herb grinder, a coffee grinder is a good alternative. Ensure that you just give the herbs a couple of quick spins so that they do not become a fine powder that strains through the screen. You don’t have to worry if you have no grinder. Just use a scissors or even your fingers will do. The final result should be herbs with good consistency and without clumps.

Get the Vaporizer Going

Once you have the ground herbs, turn the vaporizer on and turn the temperature to the highest. Different vaporizer units have different methods of turn-on mechanism. The temperature control is either a knob that needs to be turned or simply a switch that turns off and on. You may refer to the operating instructions of the respective vaporizer.

Loading the Handpiece/Whip

The handpiece then needs to be loaded with the herbs. This process depends on the type of vaporizer used. If you are using a handpiece with a screen attached, the herbs should be placed on the screen. Just a small amount of herbs should do as they will provide a more even vaporization. The measurements of 1/8 is enough for once.

A great way is to load the vapor whip is with vacuum power. On your vapor whip, the small glass at the tip is the mouthpiece and the larger end is the loading chamber. Put the loading chamber over a small quantity of ground herbs and suck it into the loading chamber by breathing in the mouthpiece to create the suction. This is the best way of loading the herbs.

The Process of Vaporizing

Once the herbs are loaded, you are all set for vaporization.

1.) Temperature – The first thing to check for is to see that your vaporizer is ready to be used and warmed to the required temperature as per instructions. If your vaporizer has metal heating element, the element will become hot and red. Whatever the type of vaporizer you use, it should be hot enough to be used for 5 – 10 minutes.

2.) Proper Placement – Then you need to hold the handpiece to the end of the heating element and place the plastic tube-end of the mouthpiece in the mouth.

In most vaporizers, the heating element is at a 45 degree angle,
and because of this herbs spill into the heating element when
the end is attached. If this is what your vaporizer does, you can
just give a slight suction on the vapor whip to avoid spillage. This
is quite simple to do once you get used to it.

Getting the draw – Now the next step is to get the draw. Different vaporizers operate differently. Vapor is created by drawing hot air over the herbs and through the tube into the lungs.

Each person has their own preferred method of getting the perfect draw. Some vaporizer companies advise turning the vaporizer up as high as possible and to take fast and long inhalations to get the maximum benefit. Some say that the best way is to turn the unit down a little after heating it up and then taking the draw. I prefer the first method. I slow down my draw as the element cools down.

The variations of temperature and draw speed are the crucial elements of vaporizing. You will understand this better once you gain a little experience in drawing, and you will be able to figure out what is best for you.

Final – Once you are done taking the draw, take the handpiece away from the unit to keep heat away from the herbs.

A Few Rules of the Thumb to Vaporize the Correct Way

Hot Element: It is important to draw quickly so as to not burn the herbs. As the element cools down, you may decrease the speed of your draw.

Slow Element: To create the vapor, you need to draw slow, ensuring that it is not too slow, which will burn the herbs, creating smoke.

Even armed with all this knowledge, vaporizing needs a little experimentation, and very soon you will know the style that suits you perfectly. It is all a matter of preference really.

What is the indication that all herbs have been used?

This is one of the most often asked clarifications about vaporizing and there is no perfect answer. It is really hard to say as it depends on the herbs used.

However, I can give you some pointers:

Color: When the color of the herbs changes from green to brown, it could be an indication that the herbs are spent. If they turn black, you have far exceeded the time.

Flavor: It is common to see herbs changing flavor once their essence has been devoured. Many herbs smell like burnt popcorn at this stage. In order to avoid going to such extremes, you need to learn to detect the changing flavor.

Vapor: Another great indication is, herbs fail to produce vapor at normal temperature, once they are spent. Once this happens, you must make sure you do not force the vapor out of the herbs by resorting to slow drawing on a heated element. This only results in burning the herbs and producing smoke, which is exactly what you are trying to avoid.

Whatever the vaporizer you use, you will get a hang of things after a few uses.

Personally i never cared if anyone knew i was high or not but i just don’t like pushing into others faces. A shame it may be but the world still has a negative outlook on marijuana smokers and being obnoxiously obvious about it can cause main situations that you do not want to deal with, probably because your high. So how DO I avoid being caught high you ask?

Red eyes are usually the thing that gets most people busted after they smoke marijuana. It happens because of the increase in blood pressure that happens when you smoke. If you smoke pot a lot your body seems to adjust to this increase heart rate and leap in blood pressure quickly and your eyes will stop getting red. But for those that don’t smoke that often he best solution is to wait it out, but if you don’t have a lot of time on your hands you can always use clear eyes. Only 2 drops and your eyes will turn whiter then Christmas snow.

Another way people get busted easily smoking the ganja is the scent it leaves on your clothes and body. It is said the the smell will fade from your clothing within five minutes but i find that to be the case only with low quality marijuana. There have been times that i smoked before i left for class which is nearly 30 minutes away and people still told me i STINK of weed. So to prevent this take precautionary measures and spray yourself down with some cologne or perfume if a lady. The bigger issue is the smell left on your fingers if you handled the weed yourself. The oil and ‘resin’ on the weed feels as thou is sinks into your sink and will leave a strong odor for much longer then the smoke would. So as soon as your get the chance wash your hands or apply lotion of some sort. This will help with the smell.

The worst way to get caught smoking weed is when you are in the middle of smoking it, because most time you don’t get to finish your l. Also there is no talking your way out of being caught with your L in your hand, well there was this one time but that’s a whole another story, so just avoid it happening. If it’s cool to smoke in your house just smoke at home, no point in risking imprisonment when it’s not needed. But if you still living at home with mom and dad or your wife don’t know you smoke there are other opinions. Firstly your car, i would recommend this second to your home only if your a good driver. If you are consistently making mistakes or getting pulled over do no smoke inside your car. Because the car is so small the smell often sinks into the seat cushions, carpets, visors, maybe even that fuzzy steering wheel cover you got for x-mas for all i know. And sense you are so packed in a tight spot with all the smoke it almost sinks into your nose and makes it so you can’t notice it, but as soon as the cops get to the window it’s over, Trust me on that. So if your are a bad driver skip to opinion three, smoke somewhere you can see them before they see you. If you have a area around that you know you will be able to ditch the weed before the cops can see then smoke there, common sense people.

Don’t forget that after you smoke you are high. Alot of people will get stoned out of the universe and think that they can still hold a intellectual conversions without the other person noticing. This is possible but if the person is trying to tell if you are high they will probably notice. Remain Focused and keep the conversation to a minimal with anyone your are trying to avoid detecting your wonderful mind-state.

This guide was written by Phased @ Grasscity

So, you’ve just started smoking and you’re wondering what kind of new piece you should get. Honestly, you can’t smoke out of that Gatorade bottle taped to a 12mm socket forever!

Not only that, but Shady Sanchez sold you “1/8th of some Kush” and you’re not sure if you got played for a fool. You’ve come to the right place!

We’ll go ahead and learn about Bud Quality awareness first. Click ‘Continue Reading’ for the whole guide!First, know that strain names are usually made up.

The only way you can be sure that a strain name is legitimate is if you’ve received your Marijuana from a dispensary or straight from the grower. Also, obviously, if your dealer is close with the grower. Don’t be afraid to ask.

This time, though, you’re buying for the first time. You’d like to know if what you have is actually some dank or if you were scammed.

Before we go into visual checkpoints for your bud, I’m going to explain a little bit about Bud Quality Assurance Nouns.

These are quite controversial as of late, so I thought I’d go ahead and clear some stuff up.

Everyone has their own set of Bud Quality Assurance Nouns, but most people misuse them.

Also, generally there are no 100% correct Bud Quality Assurance Nouns, but here’s the set we’ll be using for the remainder of this guide:

Schwag – Mids – Beasters – Fire

There are, however, incorrect Bud Quality Assurance Nouns. These are the most misused words in the world of Marijuana, guaranteed.

Dro is short for Hydroponics. This BQAN is often misused to describe Beasters. This is completely incorrect!

Hydroponics – A method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions instead of soil.

So, as you can see, Dro is used to describe the way the Marijuana was grown and has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the Marijuana itself. You can have hydroponically grown Fire and hydroponically grown Mids. Obviously, both are completely different.

Also, the word Kush is very often used to describe Fire, although this is also completely incorrect!

Kush – Marijuana originating from the Hindu Kush mountain range located between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Although usually, if someone is selling you “Kush” it’s going to be pretty Fire. There is a very small chance that you can get your hands on some industrial Kush. This type of marijuana will be equal in quality to that of Mids.

So, to prevent you from ever overpaying for 1/8th of “Kush,” we’re going to take a look at the visual checkpoints for the quality assurance of Marijuana!

____________WEED WARNING_____________

[GRIT]

DON’T SMOKE THIS!
COVERED IN GLASS SHARDS!
DON’T SMOKE THIS!

This bud will appear very crystallized and the “kief” will fall off very easily.
Some of this excess “kief” may not fall through the screen in your grinder, as it should.

Detecting Grit Weed:

If a bud is applied to the tongue and leaves a sandy feeling, it is contaminated.
A bud is shaken above the back of a CD and the resulting “kief” is pressed and dragged along the surface of said CD. If this action results in the appearance of scratches, the bud is contaminated.

____________WEED WARNING____________

[Schwag]

Most easily identifiable.
Sometimes referred to as Dirt or Bobby Browns.
Plagued with seeds and stems everywhere!
Always noticeably brown in color!
Dry and very earthy smelling.
Will taste almost nothing like marijuana.

[Mids]

Sometimes referred to as Midgrade, Regs, or Thirties.
Light brown or very dark green areas of coloration.
Mostly contains seeds. Considerably less than Schwag though.
Mids do not usually have hairs like Beasters and Fire. Rare in some cases of High-Mids!
Almost no crystallization, expect a flat dark green color. Un-shiny.
Slightly skunk-smelling, but not noticeably pungent.
Still quite dry, although not as bad as Dirt.
The taste will be more desirable than schwag including faint traces of actual marijuana taste.

[Beasters]

Sometimes referred to as “Dro.”
Usually quite hairy, but pressed against the bud.
Quite strong smelling, but not overpowering.
More truly green, less yellow-brown in color.
Usually extremely dense and compact buds.
Seedless for the most part.
Tastes noticeably like marijuana. Much more fresh and pungent tasting.

Sometimes hairy, not always. Hairs are can be protruding from the bud or compacted toward it.
Very crystallized! Very very shiny!

Amounts:

Well, now that you’re well educated on the visual appearance of your bud, you need to know if your dealer gave you the correct amount.

There really is no way to visually tell if you were given the correct amount of Marijuana.
You can come close, but you will never be accurate.

I’d like to mention that if you’re reading this part of the guide, get a damn scale! It makes life easier.

Look around at hobby shops, they even have metal key chain scales that will never break if used and stored properly and are always accurate! They’re about $3.

There really is no way to tell visually that what you were sold is what you have.

However, here is a size comparison for 1/8th of Marijuana:

I am only going to post one picture. From this picture you should be able to “eyeball” your bag and see if you’ve gotten ripped off or not.

The scaling goes as follows, although there are also different Bud Quantity Assurance Nouns!

Nickel* Bag, Nick* – 0.5 Gram Bag

Dime* Bag, Dime*, Gram – 1 Gram Bag

Dub – 2 Gram Bag

Cut, Eighth, Slice - 3.5 Gram Bag

Fourth, Quarter – 7 Gram Bag

Half O, Half Zip – 14 Gram Bag

Zip, Ounce, O – 28 Gram Bag

Dime – This doesn’t always necessarily mean it’s going to be a 1 Gram Bag. Dime traditionally means that it’s a $10 sack, which may be more or less than 1 gram depending on the quality of bud.

Nickel/Nick – This doesn’t always necessarily mean it’s going to be a 1/2 Gram Bag. Nickel traditionally means that it’s a $5 sack, which may be more or less than 1/2 of a gram depending on the quality of bud.

Dub – Dub traditionally means that it’s a $20 sack, which may be more or less than 2 grams depending on the quality of bud.

______________________________________

Getting Ripped Off:

There are several ways to protect yourself from getting ripped off:

Buy a scale and bring it with you! Weigh that shit out in front of your dealer! Or ask your dealer to weigh it out in front of you. It’s better to have your own though just in case he has an excuse as to why he doesn’t have his on him. (Traveling with a scale enables you to be busted for “Intent to Distribute.” Make sure you keep it hidden well and separately from your stash!)

Know what you’re talking about, or try to. If you sound ignorant, you are ignorant, and your dealer will take advantage of this. Know your Bud Quality Assurance Nouns and Bud Quantity Assurance Nouns!

Try to get it through someone you know. The less shady your transaction is, the less likely you are to get ripped off.

Bring someone with you that knows what the hell is up! It never hurts to have someone around who knows what they’re talking about.

Be nice! If your bag is short, confront your dealer kindly. If he runs away, take the loss. Remember, drug dealers are already breaking the law, why shouldn’t they carry a weapon?

______________________________________

Pieces:

[Bongs]

Brands:

ZOB
DZL
VIP Glass
Phire
PURP
GEAR
HVY
MediCali

There are many more as well, this is just a small list.

Bongs MUST be called water pipes when present in a head shop!

Bongs can come in a variety of materials such as Glass, Acrylic, Ceramic and Bamboo.

Chamber Clearing:

Bongs can have sliders, or they can have carbs. A majority of cheap bongs have carbs, but this is not a telltale sign of quality, just a preference.

Carb – A hole that you put your thumb over so you can create suction with your lungs in order to take the hit. You then release the hole to clear your smoke from the chamber.

Slider – A bowl piece that is removed from the downstem or ash catcher in order to allow oxygen into your bong and clear the chamber.

Bongs will come either Glass on Glass (GonG) or Rubber on Glass. This part is pretty self-explanatory. If your slider comes in contact with another piece of glass then your bong is most likely a GonG. If your slider has, or comes in contact with a rubber grommet, you don’t have a GonG.

A GonG bong will usually have ground glass joints. This is commonly misconceived as “frosted glass.”

Percolation:

Bongs use percolation as another type of diffusion, just another way to separate and cool down the smoke before it reaches your lungs!

They can be percolated with a dome or a tree. The percolator is usually located in the neck of the bong. Although, can be located “fixed” at the bottom of a stemless bong instead of a diffused down stem. Can also be percolated several times in different areas.

Tree Percolator – Classified by its many arms with small slits or holes at the bottom and is more widely used on many bongs.

Dome Percolator – Usually less commonly found on bongs. Easily identifiable by a single dome with holes or slits around the entire circumference of the bottom.

There are also a few other types of percolators in production. Disc diffusion percolators is one of them. Toro and Sovereignty are the main producers of percolator variations other than tree or dome.

Downstems and Diffusion:

Your bong’s downstem can either be diffused or not. This part on a bong is usually diffused. This just means there are laser-cut holes or slits at the bottom which separate the smoke for cooling.

Ice Catchers:

Always found above percolators and splash guards. Catches the ice! I’m 100% sure this is self explanatory.

Splash Guard:

Simple, yet effective. Easily mistaken for a percolator, but upon close inspection is just a small dome, usually directly underneath the ice catcher. Does exactly what it says, guards from percolator splash. No one likes bong water in their mouth.

Joint:

Typically the part on the bong where the slider or ash catcher meets the beaker or bottom chamber of the bong. Joints will have different sizes, as with anything else, bigger is better.

Ash Catchers:

These guys are a glass aficionado’s dream. They catch all the dirty ash from cleared bowls so that crap doesn’t get your beautiful bong dirty.

Ash Catchers are sometimes diffused. They have down stems and are usually filled with water before use. They are another means of smoke filtration, although sometimes negligible.

Toro ash catchers, also known as Trashcatchers, are more commonly diffused. As well as Sovereignty ash catchers. Basically higher end ash catchers.

Inline ash catchers are intricately designed artistic pieces with a sideways downstem, sometimes diffused. These pieces are exceptional at keeping ash out of your bong.

Warning: The smell put off by cooking this oil is extremely strong and will stink your house up!

This recipe will serve 2-3 people

Well I made a batch of brownies last night and figured I would share.

My recipe only makes enough oil for one batch of brownies. Your measurements may differ if you use a different brownie mix, so check the box!

Oil:

You’ll Need:

Pot or Pan

Measuring Cup

Strainer

Stirring Spoon

Grinder

Ingredients:

14g (or 1/2 oz) of bud

Vegetable Oil

This is what we chose to make our brownies with, 14g of White Russian:

A group shot of all the item’s you’ll need to make your oil:

Step 1: Grind the herb and place in your pot. Now measure 2/3 cup (or whatever your recipe calls for) of Vegetable Oil, add just a little bit more and pour into your pot / pan with the herb the was just ground.

Note: We add a little more oil than what the recipe calls for because you won’t be able to strain all the oil out of the plant material left over and you will come up short if you don’t add a little more.

Step 2: Set your stove top to Low – Med and heat the contents of your pot (oil and herb) to just below a simmer, make sure to stir frequently. Do this for 1-2 hours.

Step 3: After 1-2 hours, strain the pot contents into the measuring cup. This is what the strained oil should look like:

Notice it’s much darker with a golden tint.

Congratulations, you’ve just made cannabis oil that can be used in any recipe that calls for Vegetable Oil. If you’d like to make brownies, read on!

Brownies

You’ll Need:

Measuring Cup

Stirring Spoon

Mixing Bowl

[Not Pictured] Pan – 8×8, 9×9, or 13×9

Ingredients: (These will differ depending on the mix you are using, check the box!)

Brownie Mix – We use Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies, since they call for almost a cup of Vegetable Oil

2 Eggs

1/2 Cup Water

2/3 Cup Cannabis Oil

Step 1: Put the Brownie Mix into your Mixing Bowl.

Step 2: Add 2 Eggs, 1/2 Cup Water and 2/3 Cup Cannabis Oil.

Step 3: Mix!

Step 4: Preheat oven to 350

Step 5: Spread mix into pan and place pan into preheated oven for 24-26 minutes.

Step 6: Once your brownies are finished, remove from oven, let stand until cool, cut and serve!

The Finished Product!

Carefully shape the joint by rolling it back and forth until the weed in the rolling paper is evenly dispersed and cylindrical in shape.

Roll the bottom end of the paper up and tuck it over the top of the weed while pulling end to end (to ensure tightness). Continue to roll the paper from the bottom up until only the sticky strip is showing.

Lick the sticky strip of the paper and seal the joint. Lightly twist both ends of the joint so that weed isn’t sucked into your mouth as you inhale.

Hold the joint in your mouth (or in your hand as shown) and spark it up. If the joint has trouble igniting, give it a few puffs and suck the flame towards the joint.

This is a step by step guide on how to make “Green Dragon”. There are many different recipes/methods on how to make Green Dragon, so ill show you how I made mine & I’ll also include the “rule of thumb” recipies/methods for making Green Dragon along with links to these recipes/methods.

What is “Green Dragon”?
Green Dragon is an alcoholic beverage (tincture/extract) made by leaching the leaves, buds, & stems of the cannabis plant in a high-proof alcohol (higher is better), most commonly Everclear. The THC dissolves into the alcohol resulting in a dark green or brown liquid. Sugar or honey is often also dissolved in the alcohol to mask the extremely bitter taste of the extract.

Basic Preparation:
Green Dragon is a method for extracting the active ingredients found in cannabis leaves, buds, & stems. These chemicals, mainly THC, are not very soluble in water, but much more soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol. In addition, the chemicals responsible for the bitter and “grassy” taste of cannabis material are insoluble in alcohol, but more soluble in water. Chlorophyll is soluble in alcohol. Baking (as in “drying”) the dry buds and leaves prior to adding them to the alcohol in either method increases the potency of the resulting preparation. This is because the baking process converts the inactive tetrahydrocannabinol acids (THCA) into the active THC.
Caution: The amount of pot shown here would work for most regular stoners if it’s a high-grade marijuana (“chronic”). You would most likely get high enough that you wouldn’t be disappointed, but not quite high enough that you would get a panic attack. No guarantees, so each person has to experiment and figure out the right amount. Somebody who has not been high in a really long time would be very sensitive, so they would need to use less pot or use cheaper stuff (“schwag”). A total pot-head would need to use more pot. On an empty stomach you’ll reach a peak high at about 60 to 90 minutes & can last between 4-8hrs (depending on strength & dose taken), whereas a toke or a bong hit takes about 15 to 45 minutes to peak & only last a few hours, so be careful not to take more doses until 90 minutes have passed.

Revisions:
How to make it taste better: Water curing the buds, trim, & leaves will remove most of the chlorophyll & other chemicals in the material, (except the THC & cannabinoids), which is mostly responsible for the bitter taste. Also adding flavored extracts to the the mix, either in cooking process or after your done will improve taste.
How to make it stronger: after your done, you can make it even more stronger/concentrated by letting the Green Dragon mixture sit in the water bath on very low heat to let more of the alcohol evaporate, the liquid will get thicker, but will be more concentrated.
The baking: some people find it better baking the material @ 200F for 20mins better than 325F for 5-8min

Lets Get Started.

Supplies:
Cannabis plant material – Leaves, Buds, & Stems (no seeds if you can).
High-Proof Alcohol – Everclear 190 (if sold in your area), Everclear 151 or Bacardi 151.
Candy or Digital cooking Thermometer.
Containers – 1 pot (for water bath), 1 or more containers (metal or glass) to put mixture in, & a container (prefably glass) to store “Green Dragon” in. Strainer – mesh strainer (or mesh coffiee strainer, paper strainers arnt recommended) & Cheese Cloth or tea towel
Grinder – coffiee grinder, blender, weed grinder or even scissors.
Baking pan or aluminum foil
Measuring Cup
Scale – for weighting plant material

Optional Supplies:
Potato masher, ricer, or even a garlic press
Flavored extract – to make it taste better.

Step 1: Weigh out your plant material. The rule of thumb is .5 – 1.75 grams of High Grade Cannabis per 1 fluid ounce of Alcohol, or 1/8th per 2oz of alcohol. (use 2-3 times the amount if using schwag or leaf material). This can be tweaked to your tolerance.
This is what I used to make my “Green Dragon”. (I made mine stronger than most recipes because I have a high tolerance)

Not included in the pictures is about 7 grams of schwag. Total weight of plant material is 63.5 grams or about 2.3oz

Step 2: Grind or cut up plant material using your choice of supplies. (the finer the better, NOT TO A DUST THOUGH). the finer the material is the better the extraction is.

Step 3: Pre-Heat oven to 325F. Spread out ground up plant material evenly on a baking pan (preferably lined with foil). Place pan in oven for 5-8 minutes @ 325F (or when material turns a bronze color) to activate the THCA to THC. DO NOT let temperature get over 380F (this is the temp when THC starts to vaporize, we dont want that).

Step 4: Take activated plant material & measured alcohol & place inside your cooking container(s), take this and place it in the pot of water for water bath (like a double boiler). Place thermometer inside the alcohol & plant mixture. Turn on stove & cook the mixture @ 168-172 for 20-35 minutes stirring every 5mins or so, not letting the temperature get over 173F (boiling point of alcohol). Be careful with this step, because high-proof alcohol is very flammable, thats why we use the double boiler method.

Step 5: Place cheesecloth inside your strainer, & place this over another container (I used the glass measuring cup for easy pouring), then pour your cooked cannabis & alcohol mixture through the strainer, then squeeze out all the liquid you can from the cheesecloth, either by using a spoon to mash the material down, or if you have a masher, ricer or garlic press then use it to do the same.
Step 7: Dosing – Start with 1-2cc/ml. you can take it straight (very hard to stomach), or mix into your favorite drink & then just sit back & wait. I took 2cc on empty stomach & felt it at about 15mins in, & peaked @ about 80min, very strong body high, & really blazed after smoking as bowl

That’s it, have fun & be safe!

Written by sinsemillaplease.

This guide is intended to inform you of your constitutional rights while in the presence of law enforcement officers (LEOs) while on foot, behind the wheel, as a passenger and in your residence. The information I have provided is based on my knowledge of the constitution and case law (I’m pre-law), information provided by Norml and flexyourrights.org, local conferences on racial profiling, and a fair share of common sense. The laws cited here apply in the United States. Though many of the tips offered here are helpful in any LEO encounter, some of the protections against search do not apply to citizens of other countries.

You should know that some officers of the law will undoubtedly take offense to your knowledge and recitation of your rights but this does not give them reasonable suspicion or probable cause for detainment, arrest or search as I will define them later. Feel free to post additional advice so long as you can support it with the necessary case law or something else verifiable.

TYPES OF POLICE ENCOUNTERS:

Friendly Conversation or Otherwise Consensual, Casual Encounters
A law enforcement officer could at any time initiate a casual conversation with you. This could be in the form of a “Hi. How are you doing today? What are you up to?” or “Hey where you headed buddy?” or “Nice weather today huh?” etc. Definitively, a casual encounter is any time you speak to police with the freedom to terminate the encounter at your leisure. When engaged in a casual encounter you are not obligated to speak to the officer at all. You may refuse to provide a name or even refuse to open your mouth altogether. In most casual encounters it is wholly uneccesary to be this tight-lipped unless you have reason to believe that providing them with information could be detrimental to your freedom (ie you have high priority warrants or are on a name basis with cops as a wanted fugitive, etc). At any point in conversation you may leave without another word. If you are unsure of what type of situation you are in ask, “Am I free to go or are you detaining me?” If the officer does not have reasonable suspicion of criminal activity he cannot prevent you from leaving. The odor of marijuana does in fact constitute reasonable suspicion and probable cause if and only if the officer is trained in determing the length of time a residual odor of marijuana has been present.

Detainment
If a LEO has reasonable suspicion that you have, are engaged in, or are about to engage in criminal activity they may detain you. A hunch does not constitue said suspicion and specific, articulable facts must be observed. This encounter is commonly known as a Terry stop based on the Supreme Court ruling in Terry v. Ohio. During detainment a LEO will ask you to identify yourself. In most cases you are required to do so and a verbal statement of your name suffices to satisfy the Stop and Identify statute. While refusing to provide a name does not constitue probable cause for a search or arrest it can constitute a crime in and of itself which could get you arrested anyway. Unless you have previously confirmed knowledge of a local statute that allows you to legally refuse, provide your name when requested. The 5th and 6th amendments allow you to refuse all other questions when not in the presence of an attorney. Pursuant to detainment, LEOs have the right to frisk your outer garments from head to toe for weapons, but not for drugs or paraphernalia. Detainment must be brief according to Terry v. Ohio so after a time ask, “Am I free to leave?”

Arrest
A LEO must have probable cause to believe that you have committed a crime to arrest you. Under arrest LEOs are legally entitled to a warrantless search of you, anything you’re carrying and your immediate surroundings. An arresting officer is required to inform you of your Miranda rights, namely the right to remain silent, the right to have an attorney present and provided at the state’s expense, and that anything you say is admissible in court. If you are not read your rights nothing you say is admissible as evidence. Biographical booking information is exempt from Miranda protection and must be offered subsequent to arrest. Keep your mouth shut and call an attorney.

LEO INTERACTION GUIDE WHEN YOU ARE…

On Foot
If ever you encounter a LEO on foot while you are minding your own business, you are not required by any statute to even entertain their presence. If they say anything to you, you are not required to respond in any fashion. Minding your own business assumes that you are not creating reasonable suspicion of a crime.

Items or behaviors that could constitue suspicion, alone or collectively:
(Not All-Inclusive)

- Odor of marijuana localized to the person or belongings
- Disorderly Conduct
- Visible Inebriation (Swerving, Heavily slurred speech, etc.)
- Paraphernalia or illegal contraband in sight
- Presence in public park or private (w/o permission) after hours
- Excessive Noise
- Evasive Conduct
- Rapid concealment of items
- Visible bulge at the waist or hand gesture to check for weapon
- Breaking curfew (if underage)

LEOs may not take kindly to being ignored so use your best judgment to exit the situation as quickly as possible without evading. Don’t forget, “Excuse me sir. Am I free to leave?” There is no law requiring you to carry identification on foot so you are also not required to provide it in a casual encounter. Be polite, respectful and calm and you will likely be left alone.

If asked, do not consent to any search. Refusing a search is protected by the 4th Amendment. As a rule, if a LEO has to ask, they do not have a warrant or probable cause to search you or your possessions. That being said, keep any illegal paraphernalia or contraband out of sight as police do not need a warrant or cause to seize illegal items that are in plain view. Also, do not attempt to destroy evidence. This would constitue an exigent circumstance under which a LEO could conduct a warrantless search. As always, don’t answer any questions without an attorney present unless you are fully aware of your innocence and of sound mind to navigate the conversation without incrimination.

Behind the Wheel
(See bottom for an in-depth guide to smoking in your car)
The requirements while driving are quite a bit different than what is required of pedestrians. To pull you over, a LEO must have reasonable suspicion as defined under Terry or you must have committed a traffic violation. You must provide a state-issued Driver’s License, vehicle registration and proof of insurance. You are not required to answer any other questions, but to a point, cooperation can make for a friendlier encounter. Use judgement in determining which questions may harmlessly appease the cop and which may serve to incriminate you. Do not confess to any wrongdoing. You may be asked to step out of your vehicle by the LEO. Refusal is not an option but ask, “Am I free to leave?” to ensure that you are actually being detained.

Here is an outline of appropriate behavior following a traffic stop:
1. Make no visible attempts to conceal evidence unless you can do so surreptitiously (w/o being noticed).
2. Pull over fully providing the officer with enough room to safely approach the vehicle. Turn off the car but leave the ignition set to accesory as to allow raising of the windows.
3. Do not reach for license or registration until told to do so. Do not store anything illegal near or with your license or registration. Turn down music.
4. Roll up all windows leaving the driver window open only enough to permit conversation.
5. Do not answer any questions, especially incriminating ones, except to invoke your 4th, 5th and 6th Amendment rights.
6. If asked to step out of the vehicle roll up your window and lock the door on the way out. Pocket your keys.
7. Remain calm and never physically resist.
8. Do not consent to any searches and do not confess to any wrongdoing.
9. Ask if you are free to leave.

LEOs with few options left to bust you will often threaten to bring in the K-9 unit. Do not fear these claims. If you are not being detained you are free to leave long before any K-9 unit could get to the scene. If you are being detained still refuse to consent to the search.

A Passenger
The law is a little vague in regards to what is required of passengers in motor vehicles. To be safe and avoid further harassment, provide only a verbal statement of your name if asked. You are not required to carry ID so do not provide any. Refuse to answer any other questions and verbally invoke your 6th amendment right to an attorney before questioning in a polite and respectful manner. If not addressed by the LEO, keep your mouth shut and your hands still. It is important to note that in many states the arrest of a passenger gives a LEO the right to search the areas of the vehicle that are or were immediately available to the passenger, including the glovebox for front seat passengers.

In Your Residence
Your residence is the area most well protected from search and seizure under the 4th Amendment. If a LEO knocks at your door ask from a nearby window how you may be of assistance to the officer. Do not leave your property during the encounter. It provides you with many protections. If no window is present, step outside to speak to the officer and close the door behind you. Be sure to conceal anything illegal before opening the door. The plain sight rule always applies. A LEO is not permitted to enter your home without a warrant unless there are exigent circumstances (evidence of risk of physical harm to occupants, etc.) Remain calm and respectfully invoke your 4th Amendment rights against search if the officer requests to enter. Be as cooperative as necessary without incrimination. If the officer asks you to simply quiet down agree to do so. Do not confess to any wrongdoing. Do not fear a threat of a warrant if one is not present. Warrants require probable cause and if you’ve followed these guidelines you shouldn’t have provided them with any.

IN THE EVENT OF A LEGAL SEARCH WITH WARRANT:
1. Do not consent to the search but do not resist. There is always the possibility that the warrant is invalid but if you consent they don’t need it anyway.
2. Do not provide assistance in locating anything. They cannot use this against you and there is always the possibility that they will not find anything they are looking for. (A warrant was served on my dorm and the cops left me a bowl in my backpack.)
3. Shut up.
4. Call an attorney.

IN REGARDS TO SNITCHING:
1. In most cases it won’t help.
2. If you’re not yet awake and you haven’t smelled the coffee… We are living in a police state. Look at Professor Gates’ case, look at the EMT who got pulled over and assualted by two Oklahoma state troopers, look at Shem Walker who got shot and killed by an undercover cop who was sitting on his stoop and refused to leave when instructed because he was wearing headphones and listening to a buy bust operation, look at David Mayo who was convicted after the cops secured a search warrant to his home based on a purchase invoice for grow lights that the cops never even had and never showed to the warrant-granting judge… the list goes on and on.

I hate that we have to be adversaries of those who we pay to protect and serve but that’s the way it is. Our founding fathers formed the constitution to prohibit federal police but now we have the FBI, DEA, ATF, and Secret Service. We’ve slowly allowed police forces to take control of our rights and we haven’t put in the proper checks and balances to keep them from becoming a bureaucratic, tyrannical force wrought with corruption. It is our supreme duty as citizens to stand up for our rights and the rights of others who police wish to destroy. Even dangerous drug dealers have rights and if they have theirs trampled its one step closer to complete loss of rights for all.

ITEMS TO KEEP ON YOUR PERSON TO AVOID CREATING REASONABLE SUSPICION:
- Rhoto V eyedrops (They work the best. Do not use as a LEO approaches you.)
- Febreze, Cologne or some form of odor neutralizer (Apply lightly and in advance of an LEO encounter.)
- Backpack (To conceal any item too large for your pockets.)

LOCATIONS WHERE ENTRANCE CONSTITUTES PROBABLE CAUSE TO SEARCH:
- Airports
- International Borders
- Concerts
- Sports Arenas
- Private Property

Here’s a link to the NORML Freedom Card (A pocket-sized reference containing your rights when confronted by a LEO.

SMOKING CANNABIS IN YOUR CAR
This is one my favorite pastimes and also one of the things I am most paranoid about. We all know smoking produces a fairly potent scent that tends to linger, especially within the closed confines of an automobile. There are several things you can do to keep your in-car smoking session from becoming a police encounter. I will also offer tips as to what you can do if you encounter police despite your best efforts at avoiding them. This will be the most hypocritical of all advice I ever give on GC so prepare yourself… and please refrain from reminding me of how big a hypocrite I am. In my opinion, being a hypocrite makes me just like everybody else.

Do not smoke before or while driving.

As the driver of a motor vehicle, your foremost responsibility is to maintain control of the vehicle for your own sake as well as the safety of any passengers and other drivers on the road. Everything else takes a backseat to safety… PUN! Though cannabis is not as detrimental an intoxicant as alcohol, it is proven to slow reaction time. In a sticky situation, a split second delay in reaction could be fatal. Though many studies have shown that cannabis-intoxicated drivers are more risk-aversive and obey posted limits more often that those who aren’t intoxicated, “high driving” can still have serious negative consequences. That being said, I wrote this and I do it all the time anyway. If you’re going to ignore this advice make sure you fully understand the potential consequences, as I do.

If you’ve been smoking in your car your windows should be all the way down and your a/c fans should be all the way up (a/c cooling off). This allows for full circulation of air through your cabin and the a/c vents. If you have dank, smelly bud keep it in a closed container (not a bag) and store it in a closed off area (trunk is best, locked glovebox is second). Pine tree car fresheners are always a good idea, especially the royal pine variety. They mask the smell of weed like nobody’s business. Do not create reasonable suspicion or violate traffic law to merit a Terry stop. This means you should never be smoking in a car with any physical deficiencies such as broken/blown out lights, old tags, rusted plates, missing mirrors, etc. If you do it anyways you’re asking for trouble and may the cannabis gods be with you. Obey all laws to the letter.

If you are stopped anyway, consult the traffic stop section of this guide. Do not forget to ask why you were stopped. Repeat after me, “Sir why did you pull me over?” Without reasonable suspicion of a crime or violation of a traffic law, detaining you for any period of time is unconstitutional and grounds to have any subsequent arrest or search thrown out in court.

Do not spray air freshener. It is already too late for that and it could serve as a part of reasonable suspicion, though by itself it is innocuous. Be sure nothing illegal is in plain view and leave only your driver window down and only enough to speak to the LEO. Do not give him enough room to stick his nose in your car. If the LEO insists that he smells burnt marijuana, deny his claim and refuse the search if he requests. He may decide that the smell is reasonable suspicion and decide to detain you and in limited circumstances may tell you that he is calling in the dogs. Do not be afraid and still do not consent to a search. Offering consent waives your 4th amendment protection against unlawful search and you are then at the mercy of the LEO. If you refuse to consent you always have the opportunity to argue in court that the search was unconstitutional and if you forward your complaint to your local ACLU branch there is a good chance they will weigh in on the matter in some form. The political clout of the ACLU has a tendency to sway judges to behave themselves on the bench.

Unfortunately 420Skunk420, there is no precedent for calling in extraneous witnesses to the scene to verify or negate claims that the odor of marijuana is present. That being said, its definitely worth a try. If it ever happens to you call your most reputable friend to the scene as soon as you get a chance. As long as they don’t obstruct justice they can be at the scene and get video evidence of everything as well. The presence of witnesses has a chilling effect on police misconduct, especially when video cameras are involved.

The odor of marijuana does constitute probable cause to search your vehicle without a warrant. Marijuana found in a vehicle after a warrantless search cannot be used to bolster an LEOs claim of probable cause. In other words, the fact that you did have marijuana does not in any way justify the search in the eyes of the law. Many defense attorneys have successfully quashed evidence from such warrantless searches when the LEO was not specifically trained to determine how long the odor lingers in a vehicle after being present or how to distinguish between those who possessed/smoked marijuana and those who were merely present at the time. Most LEOs do not receive such training, therefore you should always encourage defense attorneys to make this argument. Here is a bit of scientific research that could be useful for such a defense strategy.

Drugged driving laws vary widely from state to state. For example, in Michigan (Where I live) I have been drugged driving every day for almost three years straight. If I have any detectable level of THC metabolites in my body, I am drugged driving according to the law. It doesn’t matter that THC metabolites are not psychoactive. Make an effort to know your local ordinances and state laws regarding drugged driving.

Finally…

NEVER hotbox a moving vehicle. This is possibly the dumbest choice you could ever make while smoking in a car. The odor of marijuana will permeate your clothes, your upholstery, and your skin. You cannot hotbox a car and not come out smelling like a garden in full bloom. If you want to hotbox do it while safely parked on your own property.

Note: I know the fact that weed odor constitutes probable cause is very scary. The only time I was ever pulled over, I was currently smoking a joint of the most potent-smelling weed I have ever encountered, Cat Piss. The windows down method saved my life. The trooper never even hinted at smelling marijuana at all. Do not give the odor a chance to build up and stick to surfaces in your car and you will be forever grateful that you didn’t… Trust me.

Thank you for reading and have a good, LEO-free day!

If you are constantly looking for ways to improve the quality of your medication or want to learn new ways to enjoy your favorite herb, then this is the guide for you. In this guide I’ll teach you what it takes to become a true herbal connoisseur, showing you new ways to use modern technology and science to give you the best smoke possible!

Getting Started:

Wash Your Hands:

Wash your hands before: Smoking, Handling any bud, Sharing a bowl…having hands that are 100% free of germs (or as close to it as possible) will GREATLY improve the quality of your smoke and reduce the risk of transferring any bacteria to the herb itself.

Next time you’re checking out of your local grocery store or pharmacy grab a $.99 travel bottle of Hand Sanitizer and keep it near your designated smoking area! This is a cheap, fast, and effective way to clean your hands in seconds!

Weapon of Choice:

Always smoke out of a CLEAN GLASS PIPE!!! Using a brand new or completely clean single hit glass hand pipe is the method used by the leading herbal connoisseurs and judges in cannabis festivals world wide. Why this is important is because the hand pipe delivers a clean, unfiltered, hit directly inhaled into the lungs allowing you to taste only what is being smoked.

* Water-Pipe Users:

Clean your tube and accessories regularly, do not allow for resin or scum to build up anywhere inside your tube, ash-catcher, down-stem or elsewhere. I recommend using 91% Rubbing Alcohol & Epson Salt or Orange Chronic Water Pipe Cleaner, either will do the job. For tough spots inside percs try using Grudge Off Super Soaker OVER NIGHT…soaking it will allow time for the cleaning agent to attach to the resin, use hot water to thoroughly rinse your tube…I clean mine in the bath tube (it’s really the only place it fits nice enough)

Add new filtered water every use, store empty without water.

Selecting Your Herb:

Start with the best quality pot available to you. Remember it truly is quality over quantity with cannabis…I mean why would you ever put your lungs and health at risk smoking herb that was not grown or handled properly? It is my recommendation that you visit your family doctor before consuming cannabis in any form, and only purchase medication from a state licensed dispensary. For those of you in states without medical marijuana laws…grow your own!!!

Moving on…

Storage: Proper storage of your medicine or “crypt ass nugget” will reserve you clean, fresh herb all year long. I recommend using KERR masion jars, like the one I have here:

They have an air tight rubber seal which makes the difference in the long run. Popular jars such as 420 Jars and Tight Pac feature plastic seals, which are not 100% air tight. This small leakage of air is enough to easily turn even the dankest nugs into dry crumpling shake over night!

Cork Top Jar:

While storing your stash in a rubber seal jar is the best way to keep it fresh, a Cork Top Jar is also a great alternative and can be found anywhere from your local headshop to that lame Michaels Crafts store down the road. I own this PURE Cork Top and it works great:

Handling Your Herb:

Try to handle your herb as little as possible, resin glads aka thc falls off your nugs and are easily absorbed by human skin.

You want to smoke the tip of the nug last, slowly pick away at your nugs from the top saving the best for last.

Remember, proper storage and handling of your buds can make a HUGE difference in the quality of your smoke! Store your nugs in a cool dark place whenever possible, avoid exposing your herb to direct sunlight and heat, both of which can damage your trichomes and more importantly the quality of your medicine!

Grinders:

Once you’ve washed your hands, cleaned your favorite glass piece, and selected a few strains of premier ganja to enjoy, the next step I recommend is purchasing a herbal grinder. Cosmic and Spacecase are two brands I highly recommend, both are made from quality materials in the United States and are free of harmful chemicals or metal dust flakes that are sometimes found in foreign made grinders.

Packing A Bowl:

After you’ve ground your herb I recommend using a plastic gift card or small piece of plastic to scoop up some green from your grinder or table and place it in your bowl. Try to avoid using your fingers when possible as THC is easily absorbed into your skin. Tap the bowl GENTLY with your finger to make sure it’s packed snug, but not tight. Packing a bowl too tight restricts air flow and causes the bowl to taste harsh and burns unevenly.

The Snap

Loading an individual hit or snap of herb is a great way to enjoy a fresh “green” hit every time! Simply load a small amount of freshly ground bud into your bowl and clear the entire bowl in a single toke! This way you and your friends will enjoy the great taste of your cannabis as well as eliminate carbon and other potentially dangerous chemicals from entering your body!

Lighting the Bowl:

If you’re looking for the true connoisseurs experience it’s time to toss that trusted BIC lighter aside and try one of the following:

Solar Hit: Simple enough, use a magnifying glass and the powerful rays of the sun to spark up a tasty bowl of dank herb!

Bee-Line Organic Hemp Rope: The following information and images were taken directly from the Bee Line website: Butane, sulpher, and flint from lighters are all highly poisonous and should not be inhaled. Studies have proven that long term inhalation of butane leads to serious lung, heart, liver, and kidney problems and is also very damaging to the brain and spinal cord. Fortunately there is an answer, Beeline. It is chemical free so say good bye to butane caused headaches after smoking.

Soldering Iron: A method that is becoming more and more popular involves using a soldering iron to lightly burn your bowls. A method which works well, and is worth the $40-$60 you will dish out for a mid-priced model. It must be noted that this method is for RESPONSIBLE ADULTS ONLY and that the use of a soldering iron may result in fire, permanent injury, or even death. Be careful and have fun, remember to NEVER leave the soldering iron unattended while on, completely unplug from the wall after every use to avoid serious accidents from happending.

Vaporize It!

A Vaporizer works by using heat to bring the temperature of cannabis to the point where it boils the active ingredient (THC) out of the cannabis without burning the plant material. The vapors that result are much cleaner and tastier than smoke, and much more potent as well. the vapors are free of tars and other unhealthy bi-products produced when the bud is burned instead of vaporized. There are countless practical and medical reasons to own a vaporizer, so if you get the chance to purchase one I highly recommend doing so!

Etiquette:

Whether you are enjoying a joint inside a medical club or over at your trusted dealer’s pad sampling his latest pick-ups, if you truly want to become a connoisseur of fine herb it is always important to keep yourself in line and behave appropriately. While smoking extremely potent ganja may be euphoric and somewhat intoxicating it is never acceptable to blame your poor choices on pot.

Kief:

Kief is the dried resin glands or trichomes of the cannabis plant, aka the THC that falls off your bud, and is collected to be smoked or pressed into hash!

If you are a serious smoker and consume large amounts of herb regularly then I highly recommend picking yourself up a kief box. The one below is made by the WICCA / WIKKA brand company (name change due to legal dispute) and I absolutely love it. In half the time I collect 10 x the kief as a traditional multi chamber grinder, and am able to produce top quality hash daily. Whether you’re picking up a few grams or several pounds a kief box is an excellent addition to any connoisseurs collection!

Hashish:

Once you’ve smoked hundred’s of amazing strains of cannabis, collected your own kief, and awaken from that extra stony weed nap, you are probably interested in trying some hash! Hash is the collection of thousands of resin glads located on the cannabis flowers or buds, and here are a few different types…

Iso Wash / Qwiso:

If your’ve been saving a jar of stems, trim, or even have a few extra grams of fine ganja sitting around then listen up! Our good friend Hashmouf took the time to create an AWESOME tutorial that will show you how to quickly and affordably make hash at home with things you probably already have in your kitchen!

His guides can be found here: http://forum.grasscity.com/recreatio…ictorials.html

Full Melt / Bubble Hash:

Bubble hash is a popular form of hash which is made by slowing mixing cannabis trim or buds in an ice water wash for hours, it’s then poured through multi-layer bags that strain the ice water and collect the resin glads.

Butane Honey Oil “BHO”:

“In my opinion, there is no smokable cannabis derivative that gets you more baked than oil. Whether you call it honey or hash oil, it’s the concentrated liquid essence of marijuana and it doesn’t take much of it to completely stone you, though its mind-numbing power makes it an acquired taste.
Whether it’s spread on a paper and rolled into a joint, inhaled through a straw from a hot knife, steamed in a Vaporizer or dropped onto ashes in your favorite bong, if you can manage to wrangle this gooey gold from the plant and then from the tiny bottle it’s usually stored in, you will be rewarded with lung-searing, brain-blasting fun!” – Mamakind, Cannabis Culture Magazine.

The process of making oil involves using a solvent, in the case butane, to dissolve the cannabis resins off the plant material, then separate the solvent from the resin. It can easily be made at home, but should be attempted by responsible adults only!!! There are several guides online which include detailed instructions that will guide you through the oil making process, here is a neat video I found on youtube showing the basic process…

Ear Wax / Budder:

Ear Wax or Budder is basically whipped/aerated bho that is dried in the process of whipping and changes viscosity from an oil to wax.

The “wax” effect can only be achieved with certain strains like OG Kush, and often turns to a taffy like goo instead of the wax-like material we know as Budder.

[U]Oil Dome / Vapor Globe:[/B]

The Vapor Globe or Oil Dome is an innovative accessory designed to turn your waterpipe into a concentrate smoking machine!!!

Here’s how it works…

The main male apparatus is inserted into the downstem of your favorite waterpipe, inside is a removable glass nail that sits within the male apparatus. Using a butane torch the nail is heated, the female globe is placed on top, and the hash is applied using a dabber (dental pick or paper clip).

Hot Knifing:

While there are easier ways to smoke hash, hot knifing remains a popular way to enjoy hash and here is how you do it:

- Supplies: two butter knives, hash to smoke, a stove preferably with a metal coils, oven glove or hand towel, straw, and although not required the help of a friend might come in handy!

- Step One: Set the stove to high heat and wait until the stove top turns burns bright red.

- Step Two: Place the knives on the stove as shown in the picture below, if you have a different kind of stove you are going to have to improvise

- Step Three: Break up some hash into small little bits 0.01 – 0.03 grams a piece. Once the tips of the knives turn a bright orange take your oven mitt or towel and pick up one of the knives.

- Step Four: Holding the knife firmly in your hand press the orange tip very lightly down onto a small piece of hash, do not squish it, instead press lightly until the hash melts to the hot metal.

- Step Five: Pick up the other knife and press the two ends firmly together, the hash will immediately begin to burn and smoke will quickly begin to rise.

- Step Six: Hold the straw in your mouth and inhale while balancing the knives.

Fighting Oder:

We all know that pot smells and for many of us covering up or eliminating this smell is a top concern. Whether you’re hot-boxing your bedroom, have a nosey landlord, or just want to cover up your smelly stash here are a few products I’ve personally used with great results in the battle against oder!!!

Renuzit Super Oder Neutralizer:

My personal favorite and top choice, Renuzit Super Oder Neatralizer, can be found at any grocery story, pharmacy, or Target for $2.99. It is available in three fragrances, I recommend Pure Breeze, and will eliminate the smell of cannabis without filling the air with an overpowering or disgusting smell!

Orange Chronic:

Made from natural orange extract in California, Orange Chronic Spray is highly effective and works great! Immediately filling the air with a heavy orange scent that I find to be more pleasant than overwhelming, it is available in a 4 oz or 8 oz spray cans that feature a pump system instead of using aerosol which harms the environment. Available online or at any decent smoke / head shop I would highly recommend picking some up!!!

Incense:

While they may not be the best at eliminating strong smoke smells incense are great to burn while smoking, to help mask the smell, either in an adjacent room or to add a pleasant smell to the room after medicating. I recommend storing a few extra incense NEXT to your jar, (NEVER INSIDE YOUR JAR…GROSS) it will help keep any hidden smells from leaking out and add a nice smell to your closet or desk drawer!

Tools of the Trade:

While the following items may not be a necessity, they are sure to add a little extra to your smoking experience!!!

Poker:

A trusted poker can be a helpful tool in the fight against clogged bowls! Here is a cool one I picked up from ROOR:

While the $9.99 ROOR Poker may be a bit pricey, the small glass tip is excellent for handling hash oil efficiently and very easily, making it well worth the money in my opinion. Most headshops carry great metal pokers for less than $1.00 that work just as well. Use anything that works well for you as a poker, just be sure to have a safe place to keep it to avoid smearing black resin on your favorite shirt or chair.

Dental Pick:

Available everywhere from your local Wal-mart to that janky swap-meet on the outskirts of town, an industrial use Dental Pick is a very useful tool in a smokers world…especially when you’re handling hash oils!!!

NOTE: Be careful when clearing bowls with ANY poker as it is extremely easy to chip or break your glass!!!

Smelly Proof Bags:

Featuring a double zipper and a half inch wide seal, Smelly Proof bags are a MUST HAVE for any connoisseur looking to leave home with herb. Whether it’s driving home from your friends or flying across the country, your stash will stay oder free and relatively safe inside your Smelly Proof. Available in a variety of sizes they sell locally for $1.00 a piece and I suggest getting your hands on one as soon as possible!!!

High Times Magazine:

While there are plenty of pot magazines to pick from nowadays there is one that truly shines above the rest, the original High Times Magazine! Packed with tons of useful information, stunning images, and a cheap cover price High Times is a great read for any stoner! With an average of two issues published a month you will never run out of cannabis related reading material, and with a 12 month subscription for under $30 I recommend signing up today!

Cannabis Culture Magazine:

Created in the summer of 1994 by Canada’s Prince of Pot, Marc Emery, Cannabis Culture Magazine is a great resource for all stoners! Loaded with interesting stories, grow tips from expert Ed Rosenthal, medical marijuana info, and most importantly…facts! Cannabis Culture comes out every two months and is available in book stores and newsstands across North America. I’ve been a dedicated High Times subscriber for many years but I recently subscribed to Cannabis Culture after purchasing only one issue. While Cannabis Culture may not have as many pretty pictures as HT, it brings it’s weight in readable content and will not waste your time with fake weed advertisements!!!

The Munchies:

The following foods will help refuel your body and mind in your journey as a cannabis connoisseur!!!

Mangos:

According to Ed Rosenthal, a leading Cannabis expert, eating a slightly overripe mango about 30 minutes prior to consuming cannabis will drastically increase the potency of your high! Myrcene, one of the oder molecules found in both mangos and marijuana, easily crosses the blood-brain barrier and transports THC across the barrier too. Increasing the amount of Myrcene in the blood system results in more THC getting to the brain. Skeptical? Try it yourself…I promise you will like the results!

If you are constantly looking for ways to improve the quality of your medication or want to learn new ways to enjoy your favorite herb, then this is the guide for you. In this guide I’ll teach you what it takes to become a true herbal connoisseur, showing you new ways to use modern technology and science to give you the best smoke possible!Getting Started:

* Water-Pipe Users:
